BPSC Assistant Town Planner Recruitment 2025: Posts
Under this recruitment campaign, 35 posts of Assistant Town Planner will be appointed. Here the information about the posts is given according to the category.
- For Reserved Category – 14 posts
- For Economically Weaker Section – 3 posts
- For Scheduled Caste – 6 posts
- For Scheduled Tribe – 1 post
- For Extremely Backward Class – 6 posts
- For Backward Class – 4 posts
- For Women of Backward Class – 1 post
Educational Qualification
The candidate should have a Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualification in any of the subjects Town Planning, Regional/Urban/City/Country Planning, Transport Planning, Housing, Environmental Planning, from a recognized University/Institute.
Age Limit
The minimum age for application has been fixed at 21 years. The maximum age limit is 37 years for unreserved (male), while 40 years has been fixed for Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class (male and female) and Unreserved (female) candidates. Age in recruitment will be calculated on the basis of 1st August 2025.
How will the selection be done?
Written Exam (Objective): Selection will be based on only one technical paper Town Planning Paper. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours, in which 125 questions will be asked and total marks will also be 125. The exam will be based on objective multiple choice questions.
The special thing is that no marks will be deducted for wrong answers in this exam. Whereas, it will be mandatory for general category to get 40%, backward class 36.5%, extremely backward class 34% and Scheduled Caste/Tribe, Women and Divyang candidates to get 32% marks.
