Railway News:- Indian Railways operates trains with passenger convenience in mind, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience. While the operational duration of several trains has already been extended to meet rising passenger demand, Indian Railways has now decided to extend the service period of 10 additional special trains. Meanwhile, passengers travelling on Central Railway routes will benefit from additional train services in the coming months.
In response to increasing travel demand, Central Railway has decided to extend the operational period of 216 special train services. Sharing this information on the social media platform X, Central Railway stated that this significant step has been taken for the convenience of passengers; the operation of these special trains will continue, keeping in mind the growing number of passengers and travel demand.
The services offered by the Railways include 150 daily and 66 weekly special trains. Currently, the Railways has not announced any changes to train timings, routes, or stoppages; these trains will continue to operate according to their existing schedules and routes. This decision brings welcome relief, particularly for passengers.
Which train services have been extended?
Central Railway has extended the operational period of several special trains running between Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar to facilitate passenger travel. This includes both daily and weekly special trains.
Daily Special Trains
The operation of the Pune-Danapur Daily Special (Train No. 01449) was originally scheduled to continue until July 15, 2026; however, it has now been extended from July 16 to September 28, 2026. This will provide passengers with 75 additional train services. Similarly, the Danapur-Pune Daily Special (Train No. 01450), previously scheduled to run until July 17, 2026, will now continue operations from July 18 to September 30, 2026.
No changes have been made to the coach composition of these trains. They will continue to feature one AC 2-tier coach, five AC 3-tier coaches, six sleeper coaches, four general second-class coaches, two second-seating coaches, and one brake van, just as before.
