
Special Trains: Good news is here. The Railways has announced a new schedule of special trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja. The timetable includes 45 special trains that will be operated by Northern Railways and East Central Railways. During these festivals, high demand is expected on routes connecting Delhi, Kanpur, Patna, and Howrah, including both weekly and biweekly services. Passengers from states like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Bihar will benefit from these services. The trains will operate from Kanpur, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Patna, Saharsa, and Ambala to Howrah.
Special trains between Delhi and Bihar:
1. Train No. 04028-04027 (Anand Vihar – Muzaffarpur Special) will run nine times from October 5th to November 30th, departing from Anand Vihar Terminal every Monday.
2. Train No. 04008-04010 (Anand Vihar-Jogbani Special) will have five trips between October and November 7th.
3. Train No. 04205-04206 (Ayodhya Cantt-Delhi Special) is for passengers traveling between Ayodhya and Delhi.
4. A special train from Bhagalpur to Anand Vihar will serve various stations and operate from October 10th to November 26th, making 47 trips.
Special trains between Punjab and Bihar, UP:
5. Train No. 04610-04609 (Amritsar-Darbhanga Special) will pass through various stations from Amritsar to Darbhanga.
Other special trains:
6. Train No. 04602-04601 (Firozpur Cantt – Patna Junction Special) will directly connect Punjab and Bihar’s capital, Patna.
7. Train No. 04618-04617 (Amritsar-Saharsa Junction Special) will directly serve migrants from Saharsa and Kosi.
8. Train No. 04508-04507 (Sirhind – Saharsa Junction Special) will benefit passengers of Ambala Division.
9. Train No. 04612-04611 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Guwahati Special) and Train No. 04614-04613 (Jammu Tawi – Kolkata Special) will cater to specific routes.
Special trains between Jammu-Katra and Purvanchal-Bihar:
10. Train No. 04314-04313 (Rishikesh-Muzaffarpur Weekly Special) will run from Rishikesh every Sunday.
11. Train No. 04312-04311 (Rishikesh-Kolkata Special Train) will connect Uttarakhand to Howrah-Kolkata.
Ticket booking for these special trains can be done at specific ticket counters in stations like Anand Vihar, New Delhi, Delhi Junction, and Patna Junction. Additional general coaches have been added to accommodate passengers, and fares for festival trains may be slightly higher. Timetables are available on the IRCTC portal or app, as well as on the Railvan app.
