New Delhi: Rohit Arya is currently in the news. The man who held 19 people, including 17 children, hostage has been killed in an encounter. He was shot by police during the encounter and was hospitalised, where he succumbed to his injuries. According to police, Arya, who was killed in the encounter, also made and shared a video.

Rohit Arya was a resident of Pune district, Maharashtra. He worked at a studio called RA in Mumbai. He was also a YouTuber. He had allegedly been conducting auditions for a few days, attracting numerous participants. Notably, he had also received a tender related to the Education Department. And Deepak Kesarkar was the Education Minister at the time.
Arya claimed that he was not paid for the project. In 2023, he also introduced the Swachha Monitor concept. He alleged that he was neither given credit nor paid for it. He also alleged that the concept was taken away from him. A statement issued by the Mumbai Police stated that he was mentally unstable. The police had been pursuing him for several days.
How Rohit Arya was killed
At around 2 p.m., Mumbai Police received information that a man was holding children captive in the studios. According to a report, Arya was also carrying an air gun at the time, which could have caused serious harm if he had got close. Sources indicate that police managed to enter through the back door.
He explained that after entering, the police also created access to the washroom connected to the studios. The report, quoting sources, said that Arya pointed the gun at the hostage. ASI Amol Waghmare then fired indiscriminately at Arya. He fell unconscious after the first bullet struck him in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital, but he died there.
