Android Authority and AssembleDebug have identified a new logout option during the analysis of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.17.37. According to reports, it can be found under Settings> Account.

This feature can be beneficial for those who want to take a digital break or switch between multiple accounts. For now, if users want to log out of their account, they have to delete it, but it seems that this will end soon.

A new report suggests that there are early signs of a logout function in the latest beta version (v2.25.17.37) of WhatsApp for Android.

If users select the ‘Keep all data and preferences’ option, it will log them out of their account on WhatsApp, but will retain their chats, files, and other media on the phone. As soon as you log in again, you can immediately access all your content. Currently, if a user does not want to use the app for a while, they have no choice but to uninstall it from their smartphone.

Please note that WhatsApp has shared no official information about this feature. There is currently no word on when the new logout button will be made available to users on WhatsApp.
