Weather Alert: From North India to South states, the movement of clouds continued throughout the day on Sunday, due to which the temperature increased in some places and decreased in other locations due to rain. In many areas of South India, the temperature dropped due to storms and drizzle in the evening, making the weather pleasant. The weather changed throughout the day from the capital, Delhi, to Dehradun.

The mood of the weather also deteriorated a lot in the northeastern states. Dust storms and rain in some places of Rajasthan made the weather pleasant. In many areas of the state, a thunderstorm alert was issued for rain and thunderstorms in the next three hours. IMD has issued a thunderstorm warning with heavy rain in 17 states.

Rain warning in these states

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in the national capital Delhi, Rajasthan and the northeastern states. IMD has also warned about heavy rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal. A fierce rain can be seen in Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

Winds are expected to blow at 40-50 km/h in these areas. The weather department has predicted heavy rains in West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. Heavy rains and strong winds may occur in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh from May 4 to 6. Rains and storms are also expected in Sikkim, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.

Rain alert in these areas of Rajasthan

The IMD has issued a heavy rain alert in many areas of Rajasthan. Rains are expected in Alwar, Churu, Dausa, Didwana-Kuchaman and Jaipur. Apart from these, rains can be seen in Jhunjhunu, Kotputli-Baharod, Nagaur, Sawai Madhopur and Sikar. Strong winds are also expected here.

The Indian Meteorological Department has warned about heavy rain and thunderstorms in Mathura, Agra, Jhansi, Firozabad, and Etawah. Heavy rain is also expected in Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba and Lalitpur.

Rain can be seen in Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur. At the same time, rain can cause disasters in Bareilly, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, and Barabanki. Wind can also blow at 40 to 50 kilometres per hour in these areas.
