New Delhi: Rain wreaked havoc on Saturday in the capital, Delhi, and surrounding areas. The rain was such that waterlogging on the roads led to traffic jams at many places. The rain exposed the preparations before the monsoon. Many areas of Delhi were seen turning into ponds.

Due to bad weather, many flights were affected. It became difficult for people to move around in the city. The sky is still cloudy in the capital,, Delhi. A c,ar along with a minib,us got submerged in an underpass located ithe n Delhi Cantt area. While the rain relieved people from the heat, the passersby also had to face problems. The rain was such that everyone was surprised to see a bus and a car stuck in the rainwater accumulated in the Delhi Cantt underpass.

The unmonsoon rain caused so much waterlogging on the road from Dhaula Kuan to Gurugram that the passing drivers could not move, and there was a jam. People got relief from the jam after hours.

The Vihar underpass was filled with water, so pedestrians faced difficulties.

Rainwater could be removed by installing a pump on the road from Dhaula Kuan to Gurugram.

A rain alert is in effect in many areas of the country.

The Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in many areas of the country. Heavy rain is expected in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Along with this, rain alert has been issued in many areas of Bihar and UP along with thunderstorms. There may be rain in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir.
