On Wednesday, she landed by helicopter at the helipad at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Pathanamthitta, Kerala, for the Sabarimala darshan. As she disembarked, the helicopter’s wheel became stuck in the helipad. A video of the incident is rapidly going viral on social media. Police and fire brigade personnel manually pushed the helicopter out.
This incident occurred this morning at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Pramadam, Kerala. President Draupadi Murmu also had a narrow escape. After disembarking, she departed for Pamba by road.
ANI news agency reported that the surface of the helipad caved in moments after President Draupadi Murmu’s helicopter landed. They stated that the concrete used in the construction of the helipad had not fully set, resulting in the top surface caving in.

A senior official, explaining the incident, said, “The President’s helicopter was originally scheduled to land at Nilakkal near Pamba. However, due to bad weather, a landing at the stadium was planned.”
President Draupadi Murmu is on a four-day visit to the southern states. She arrived in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, on Tuesday evening. This morning, she left for the hill temple in Pathanamthitta.
