A PAN card is a crucial document in India. You will need it for banking, for filing tax returns, or other financial purposes. Many people inadvertently lose their PAN card or someone else takes it. If you have lost your PAN card, you should first file a FIR report at your closest police station. This, in fact, ensures that you are being protected from any potential misuse of your PAN card. How to Apply for a Duplicate PAN Card

To get a duplicate PAN card, visit the official NSDL website. Click on the “Reprint PAN Card” link.

Enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number, and date of birth. Tick the instructions, fill in the captcha, and submit the form. Then, confirm your address and PIN code.

You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to continue and complete the process.

Fees and Tracking

After submitting your application, pay a fee of ₹50. Once you make the payment, you will get a slip with a tracking number. You can use this number to check the delivery status of your new PAN card. If you lose your PAN card, don’t panic. Just file a report at the police station and apply online. By paying ₹50, you will get your new PAN card at your address within a few days.
