UP Monsoon Alert: Monsoon will become active in all the areas of Uttar Pradesh within the next 24 hours, after which heavy rains will be seen from east to west. After rain in many regions of UP yesterday, the drop in temperature has brought relief from the scorching heat. According to meteorology, monsoon has not yet set in western UP.
Pre-monsoon rains have been seen. The weather has been clear since this morning in many parts of western UP. It is expected that the sun will continue to play hide and seek amidst the movement of clouds throughout the day.

Possibility of rain in these districts
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in many areas of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit and Lalitpur on Thursday. Apart from these, a heavy rain warning has been issued in Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar, Saharanpur and Shamli. Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Bulandshahr can also expect heavy rain accompanied by thunder.
A heavy rain alert has been issued in Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, and Mirzapur. Heavy rain is also expected in Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravi Das Nagar, Jaunpur and Ghazipur. Thunderstorms and lightning are also scheduled in Aligarh and Mathura. The minimum temperature of UP may fall significantly in the next 5 days.
Cyclonic circulation will turn into low pressure in 24 hours
IMD informed that a cyclonic circulation extending up to the middle troposphere in the North West Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into a low-pressure system within 24 hours. Due to its effect, the monsoon activity may increase as this system moves towards Uttar Pradesh.
As a result, the regional distribution of rainfall is likely to improve. IMD has predicted heavy rain with thunderstorms at many places.
