UP Monsoon Alert: The next 6 days are not going to be easy in Uttar Pradesh, as the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. People got relief from the heat due to heavy rains in many areas of UP late at night. Clouds have settled in most areas of UP since morning, providing relief from the scorching sun and humid heat. The monsoon is also likely to enter Western UP soon, after which a series of rains is expected to start. To address the monsoon rains, the Municipal Corporation and Municipal Councils are cleaning the drains to facilitate water purification in cities such as Meerut and Saharanpur.

Movement of clouds and drizzle is being seen at many places in Western UP since morning. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in 50 districts of UP. Know the condition of your district.

Possibility of heavy rain in these districts

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds in Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, and Lakhimpur Kheri. Apart from these, a heavy rain alert has also been issued in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor and Amroha. A heavy rain warning has also been issued in Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, and Shahjahanpur. Lightning can also be seen here.

IMD has predicted rain with thunderstorms in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, and Jaunpur. Heavy rain accompanied by thunder can also be seen in Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, and Gorakhpur. A heavy rain warning has also been issued in Sant Kabirnagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, and Gonda.

Apart from these, heavy rain with thundershowers has been predicted in Sitapur, Barabanki, Baghpat, Meerut, Sambhal and Badaun. A yellow alert has been issued given the possibility of rain in Bhadohi, Kanpur, Mathura-Vrindavan, and Etawah. Heavy rain has also been predicted in Ghaziabad, Noida, Aligarh, Hardoi, and Varanasi.
