Rain warning in these states
If the Indian Meteorological Department is to be believed, a warning of heavy rain has been issued for the next 24 hours. According to the IMD, a warning has been issued for heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning in Kerala, Telangana, and Karnataka in South India. An alert has been issued for light to heavy rains in Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Alert for rain in northeastern states as well
According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for heavy rains in all the states of the Northeast. IMD may experience heavy rainfall in Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from these, heavy rains are also expected in Sikkim, Tripura and Nagaland.
Heavy rains are also expected in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. A period of light rain is visible in Gujarat. Given the possibility of lightning here, it has been advised to remain indoors.
