New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Suresh Kalmadi passed away on Tuesday morning, plunging party workers and his family into grief. According to family sources, his last rites will be performed at the Vaikunth Dham crematorium in Pune at 3 PM.
Several senior Congress leaders are expected to attend the funeral. It is worth noting that Kalmadi had resigned from his ministerial post after his name surfaced in the Commonwealth Games scam. This controversy had sparked widespread debate and political turmoil across the country at the time.
