School Holidays – Good news for school students. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has declared a public holiday on October 7th. Along with this, schools and colleges in Uttar Pradesh will also be closed from September 28th to 30th due to Sunday and Durga Puja. Apart from this, due to many festivals including Dussehra, Diwali, Bhai Dooj, Chhath in October, students of many states of the country will get the benefit of long holidays. School Holiday: Know from when to when will the holiday be in which state

Rajasthan: Due to Diwali, there will be a holiday from October 13th to 24th. This means that students will benefit from a total of 12 holidays.

Bihar: All government schools will have four days off for Durga Puja and Dussehra on September 29, 30, October 1, and 2. Loyola High School, Don Bosco Academy, St. Michael High School, and St. Joseph Convent High School in Kurji will be closed until October 3, and Carmel High School, Notre Dame Academy, and St. Karen’s High School will be closed until October 5.

Andhra Pradesh: Schools will remain closed until October 2, 2025. All schools will reopen from October 3, 2025.

Chhattisgarh: Schools will be closed for six days on the occasion of Dussehra. This holiday will be from September 29 to

October 4, 2025. This year, Dussehra will be celebrated on October 2, which is also the national holiday for Gandhi Jayanti. Diwali holidays (totaling six days) will be from October 20 to 25, 2025. There will be a weekly holiday on Sunday, October 26, and schools will reopen on Monday, September 27.

Karnataka: Schools will be closed until October 6th due to Durga Puja and Dussehra. Schools will reopen on October 7th. These holidays apply to both state government and central board schools.

Telangana: Schools will remain closed till October 3, 2025 and will reopen on October 4. However, October 5 is a Sunday. Junior colleges will remain closed from September 28 to October 5, 2025.

Jharkhand: Private schools will remain closed until October 5th. However, government schools will only be closed for four days, from September 29th to October 2nd. ICSE schools will have a six-day holiday from September 27th to October 2nd. Most private schools will reopen on October 6th.
