Recently, some pictures and videos of Baba Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham surfaced from Australia. In these pictures, Pandit ji was seen in a stylish jacket and glasses. Then what! People on social media immediately started questioning his ‘luxury look’. Many users even started reminding him of his old days, when he used to just sit on a plastic chair and take out slips. Baba’s ‘befitting’ answer to trolls!
When the controversy deepened, Dheerendra Krishna Shastri also broke his silence on this. He said, “The video has been made for us. We felt cold in Australia. A girl who has taken initiation gave us an expensive jacket. It must have cost around 60-65 thousand rupees and is of some big brand. When the YouTuber made the video, then it came to light. When we went to the sea, we wore glasses to protect ourselves from the sun, that too expensive.
Now these pictures and videos are going viral. People are saying ‘Look at Baba’s jalwa’, some are saying ‘Look like this’, and some are saying ‘The fun is in him’.” Pandit Dheerendra Shastri did not stop here. He took the trollers to task and said, “If a man of 10 rupees, a dancer, a man of bad character can wear a jacket worth two lakhs, then if a Mahatma wears a jacket worth 60 thousand, then why do you have a stomach ache?”
He further clarified, “Listen to this, we have not bought it ourselves, our disciples have given it to us. If you still have a stomachache from this, then we will wear a jacket worth Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand. You make and upload more videos. You have a lot of problems with us. Look at the life of the person on whom you are commenting.”

Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham continued his talk and targeted those who are trolling him on social media. He said, “You will die commenting on those who give the message of drinking alcohol to the society, who ruin children by smoking cigarettes, who ruin children by making dirty movies and who have fun with the tickets bought with your money. Do you comment on Hindus? If you comment on me again, I will wear Prada glasses and Jackson jacket!”
He finally said, “We have read and seen which is the most expensive brand. We are not fond of it, but if someone gives it to us, we take it. We do not refuse. We live for Hindus. Commenting on Hindus is cheap. If you make the same comment on any other religion, you will be picked up from your house. We are not disturbed by this, at least you remembered us.”
