New Delhi: After the painful terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government has taken significant action against Pakistan. The effect of the Modi government is now being felt on the Hindu refugees who have come from Pakistan for religious pilgrimage. Pakistani citizens who have come to India on a visa have been requested to leave the country within two days, i.e., 48 hours.

This has created an atmosphere of panic among the Pakistani people who have come to India. This decision has created a situation of deep worry and confusion among thousands of Pakistani Hindu refugees living in the border areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Given the situation, guidelines have been issued to remain alert on the border as well.

Bandh has been declared in five cities. This order is being viewed as a thunderbolt for Ishwar Das and his family, who live in Jodhpur. On March 27, he crossed the Wagah border and travelled to Haridwar for a religious pilgrimage with 13 family members, then proceeded to Jodhpur. Meanwhile, he says that the validity of the visa is till May 25, but now he is distraught with the sudden order to leave the country. According to Ishwar Das, he has requested that the Indian government arrange for his return.

The family was divided in half; the heart was broken.

According to the government’s guidelines, Ishwar Das’s relative, Mewaram, stated that as soon as the order was received, the family immediately headed towards the Wagah border. According to these refugees, they have come from the province and reached Jodhpur after darshan in Haridwar. Here, they had met the already settled Pak Hindu refugees, but after the terrorist incident, they were confused due to the sudden order given by the government.

He further stated that all those present in India on a Pakistani visa will now have to leave the country within 48 hours, resulting in lives being thrown into uncertainty.
