Operation Mahadev:- There is news of an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Srinagar during the Amarnath Yatra 2025. Army personnel have launched ‘Operation Mahadev’ to kill the terrorists. During the search operation conducted in the forest area of ​​Harwan in Srinagar, the army killed three terrorists in an encounter. An M4 carbine assault rifle and two AK series rifles have been recovered from the dead terrorists.

Earlier information was coming out about three terrorists hiding. Now, according to the data coming out, the army has killed all three. The security forces have sealed the entire area and a large-scale search operation is being conducted. According to the military, an encounter started between terrorists and security forces in the Lidwas area of ​​Harwan in Srinagar on Monday.

According to sources, recently, a suspicious communication signal was detected in the same area. At present, security agencies are investigating whether the killed terrorists were also involved in the Pahalgam attack. Based on the initial investigation, it is believed that some significant clues can be found in this episode.

The Pahalgam terror attack took place on April 22, 2025, in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Twenty-six tourists were killed in this attack.

‘Operation Sindoor’ was launched against terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). This campaign lasted till May 10, 2025.
