After the death of veteran industrialist and chairman of Tata Sons company Ratan Tata, a question was arising in everyone’s mind that who will now take over such a big trust. The reason for doubt was that Ratan Tata had not made anyone his successor. Now the new chairman of Tata Trust will be Noel Tata. Noel Tata is Ratna Tata’s half brother.

Ratan Tata died on Wednesday night. When he woke up on Thursday morning, India lost one of its Ratnas, after which there was grief on everyone’s face. From then on, the discussion of the new chairman had started. Taking a big decision on behalf of the trust, Noel Tata has now been publicly made the chairman of the trust. This has also been officially announced by the trust board. In fact, Noel Tata was earlier associated with the trustee of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust.

Know who is the new chairman Noel Tata

Noel Tata, who is taking charge of Tata Trust, is Ratan Tata’s half brother. He is the son of Ratan Tata’s father Naval Tata and Simone Tata. Noel is currently the President and Non-Executive Director of Tata International Limited. Noel Tata has been handling many responsibilities in the Tata Group for the last forty years.

Along with this, he is also included in the board of many companies of Tata Group. Along with this, Noel is married to Aloo Mistry. At the same time, both of them have three children, Leah, Maya and Neville Tata. All are fully active in their business. Leah Tata holds the post of Vice-President in Indian Hotels Company. Maya Tata is associated with Tata Capital.

Noel will take charge of Tata Sons

Ratan Tata was the last person in the history of the nearly 150-year-old Tata Group, who has taken over the responsibility of the chairman of both Tata Sons and Tata Trust. However, it does not seem possible for Noel to hold both the posts simultaneously. At the same time, according to the rules of the Tata Group, amendments were made in the year 2022. In this, the same person was banned from holding both the posts.

Its purpose was to change the governance structure. For your information, let us tell you that the foundation of Tata Trust was laid by Noel and Ratan’s great grandfather Jamshedji Tata in 1891. At the same time, Tata Trust has a 66 percent stake in Tata Sons.
