Monsoon Update:– According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains may occur in most parts of the country on September 5, 2025. Heavy rains have caused havoc in many states of the country. IMD estimates that heavy rains may occur in many other areas, including western Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. There is also a danger of floods, landslides and waterlogging. Heavy rains have been recorded in many states, including Delhi-NCR, UP, Rajasthan, and Bihar.

Warnings have also been issued for thunderstorms and lightning, along with continuous rain in many states. An alert has been issued regarding rain in some areas of the national capital in the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued yellow and orange alerts. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are predicted in Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra, and West Madhya Pradesh on September 5. Heavy rains can also occur in eastern Madhya Pradesh on the same day. Heavy rains can occur in western Madhya Pradesh on September 5 and 6.

Rain warning in Rajasthan

According to the Meteorological Department, a warning of heavy rain has been issued for eastern Rajasthan from September 5 to 7, while heavy rains are expected in western Rajasthan on September 6 and 7.

Rain warning in Uttarakhand

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for heavy rainfall at various places in Uttarakhand from September 5 to 8.

Weather conditions in Delhi

Intermittent rains continue in Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rainfall is expected in Delhi over the next 96 hours. Apart from this, strong winds and thunderstorms are also likely.

Rain warning in Punjab, Haryana and UP

Heavy rains were observed in Punjab on September 10. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Haryana and Chandigarh on September 5 and then from 8 to 10. Heavy rains were observed in some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh on September 9.

Rain warning in South India

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu on September 8 and 9. Apart from this, strong winds at speeds of 30–40 km per hour have been predicted in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema for the next five days.
