Due to constant rain in Delhi, there is a long traffic jam, causing problems for people. The Meteorological Department estimates that it may rain in Delhi for the next 4 to 5 days.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many states of the country. Heavy rain has been seen continuously in the mountains for some time. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for several states in the country due to heavy rainfall expected this week. Let’s take a look at which states have issued alerts regarding rain.

Yellow alert issued on the mountains
It is raining continuously in the hilly states at this time. An alert has been issued for heavy rains at some places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for August 12-13. A yellow alert has been issued in some areas, and an orange alert has been issued in other areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains at some places in Jammu and Kashmir from August 13 to 15. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Jammu and Kashmir for the next four days.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms are expected at various locations in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya on August 12. A rain warning has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad, effective for the next 7 days.

Red alert in Uttarakhand
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Heavy to hefty rains with thunderstorms have been predicted in these states.

Orange alert issued in Bihar

IMD has issued an orange alert for rain for Bihar, Odisha and Himachal Pradesh for August 12. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in Bihar and Odisha. Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The IMD has issued a warning regarding rainfall in most districts of Uttar Pradesh.
