UP Monsoon Update: The south-west monsoon is moving fast, which may soon enter Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Pre-monsoon rains have increased the trouble in many areas of UP, which is also giving relief to the people from the heat. It rained in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, providing relief from the scorching heat after a slight drop in temperature.
Most areas of western Uttar Pradesh have been experiencing strong sunlight since morning, resulting in a temperature increase being recorded. It has become challenging to go out in the sun. Many people are finding it appropriate to carry an umbrella to protect themselves from the sun. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many parts of Uttar Pradesh. People have been advised to exercise caution due to the possibility of lightning.
Rain alert in these areas of western Uttar Pradesh
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in many districts of UP in the next 12 hours. A warning has been issued for heavy rain in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bahraich, Meerut and Bijnor of the Western Division. Apart from these, the alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunderstorms in Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Mathura, Aligarh and Agra.
Rain with thunderstorms can also become a disaster in Hathras, Firozabad, Etawah and Auraiya. Rain may occur with thunderstorms and lightning in Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur and Moradabad. There is also a possibility of strong winds in this area. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of wind blowing at speeds of 30 to 50 kilometres per hour.

People in Agra, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, and Fatehpur experienced relief from the scorching heat due to rain on Sunday. Apart from these, the temperature decreased due to rain in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hamirpur, Jhansi, and Kushinagar, where people found relief from the scorching heat.
The temperature level decreased due to rain in Mathura, Prayagraj, and Noida. Additionally, the highest temperature in UP was recorded in Prayagraj. The maximum temperature here has been recorded up to 41.9 degrees Celsius.
