Thunderstorms and strong winds are also expected in several areas. The IMD has predicted thunderstorms and rain in Central and Eastern UP. An alert for lightning and strong winds has also been issued for some areas. The effects of the Western Disturbance are now fully visible.

According to the Meteorological Department, the rain on Friday in Delhi and the Delhi-NCR region has significantly increased the cold. Due to dense clouds and cold winds, a drop in maximum temperature is expected. Moderate rainfall was observed under the influence of the Western Disturbance.

Along with this, commuters are facing heavy traffic jams due to waterlogging on the roads. Cold winds and light rain may cause a drop of two to four degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature in Delhi and the surrounding states.
