Monsoon Update – In many parts of North India, light rain and strong winds on Friday and late into the night caused a drop in temperature. The weather became so cool that it felt like a cold wave had returned. Snowfall and light rain in the hilly states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir added to the chill, causing temperatures to drop below freezing in many places.
Rain also brought down temperatures in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and other areas. Cloud movement continues in Western UP, Uttarakhand, and several other regions, where rainfall is still being observed. Know the weather in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the Meteorological Department, mixed weather is expected in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. Many districts of Western Uttar Pradesh are expected to remain dry. Cloudy conditions are expected in Madhya Pradesh and Eastern UP.
Thunderstorms and strong winds are also expected in several areas. The IMD has predicted thunderstorms and rain in Central and Eastern UP. An alert for lightning and strong winds has also been issued for some areas. The effects of the Western Disturbance are now fully visible.

According to the Meteorological Department, the rain on Friday in Delhi and the Delhi-NCR region has significantly increased the cold. Due to dense clouds and cold winds, a drop in maximum temperature is expected. Moderate rainfall was observed under the influence of the Western Disturbance.
Along with this, commuters are facing heavy traffic jams due to waterlogging on the roads. Cold winds and light rain may cause a drop of two to four degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature in Delhi and the surrounding states.
Rain is expected in these states as well.
