Weather Alert:- Heavy rain and hailstorms were witnessed in many states of North India on Sunday after the storm. After the rain, a decrease in temperature has been observed in most states of the country. Regarding the weather of the capital Delhi, the weather is quite pleasant today, i.e., May 5. Due to the rain, people are getting relief from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert till May 8 given thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorm and storm in most parts of the country including Delhi-NCR and North West India.
Heavy rain and hailstorms are continuing at many places in Himachal. Strong winds are blowing in these states. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours till 8:30 am on Sunday, dust storms have been seen at some places in East Rajasthan, Central India, Odisha, and Jharkhand. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding strong winds in Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, and Western Rajasthan.
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms were affected at different places in Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana. Heavy rainfall was recorded at different places in Odisha and Meghalaya.
Thunderstorms continue in many states
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding heavy rains in the coming days in many North-West, Northeast, Central, and Eastern India states.
There is also a possibility of a hailstorm in many areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains along with thunderstorms in many other states, including Delhi, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh.
According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds with thunderstorms in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh are possible until May 6. Also, light rain and thunderstorms can be seen in different parts of western Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Bihar on May 5 and 6.
Hailstorms may occur in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between May 5 and 6. Also, dust storms are likely at different places in western and eastern Rajasthan on May 5. Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are also likely to receive rain with strong winds in the next seven days.
