Monsoon Alert – Warning Heavy to Heavy Rain & Thunderstorms Predicted in 11 States

New Delhi, Monsoon Update: The weather across the country is rapidly changing. The country is bidding farewell to the departing winter. Temperatures are rising from the plains to the mountains. However, some states are already experiencing intense heat. Delhi-NCR is also currently experiencing bright sunshine. According to the Meteorological Department, a rain alert has been issued in 11 states.

Intermittent snowfall was recorded in five districts of Uttarakhand on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain and thunderstorms in several states, including Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Assam, and West Bengal, on Monday.

 Delhi Weather Update

Fog may be visible in the Delhi-NCR region today, but bright sunshine may trouble people during the afternoon. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 30 and 14 degrees Celsius, respectively.

 Uttar Pradesh Weather Update

The weather is expected to remain completely clear in Uttar Pradesh. No rain warnings have been issued anywhere in the state. Meanwhile, a warning has been issued for rising temperatures in some areas. Several districts may experience scorching heat during the day. The Meteorological Department has warned of a rise in temperatures in several districts, including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Agra, Mathura, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Amethi, Amroha, Azamgarh, Ballia, Baghpat, Barabanki, Aligarh, Meerut, and Gautam Buddha Nagar.

 Rajasthan Weather Update

Dry weather is expected in most parts of Rajasthan this week. According to the Meteorological Department, partly cloudy skies are expected in the southeastern parts of the state on February 23 and 24. However, the weather will remain mainly dry. The Meteorological Department said that the minimum and maximum temperatures may increase by two to three degrees Celsius over the next 48 hours.

Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Weather Today

The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in some parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry between February 23 and 25. According to the IMD, winds of up to 60 kmph are expected in some parts of the Bay of Bengal.
