Conversely, certain states have also received a warning regarding rain and thunderstorms for May 22. During this period, strong winds are expected to blow at speeds ranging from 80 to 90 kilometers per hour. Heavy rainfall could potentially cause damage to farmers’ crops. For today—May 22—the Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong storms, across a total of 16 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

Weather in Uttar Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding thunderstorms and rainfall for both the eastern and western regions of Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, several districts—including Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Deoria, Varanasi, Agra, and Mathura—are likely to experience heavy rainfall, along with stormy winds at 50–60 km/h.
