Monsoon Heavy Rain Alert:- Rain is being witnessed all over the country now. Last night, Delhi-NCR witnessed heavy rain along with strong thunderstorms. On May 21, 2025, the weather suddenly changed in Delhi-NCR. While the temperature was 40.7 degrees Celsius during the day, the temperature dropped in the evening due to an intense dust storm, heavy rain and hailstorm. But, the storm and heavy rain also caused many problems, such as uprooting of trees, waterlogging on the roads.
On the other hand, torrential rains continue from Northeast India to the West Coast and Southern Peninsular India. The Meteorological Department says the rain may continue in these areas for 5 to 6 days. It is estimated that monsoon may also enter the country. According to the Meteorological Department, conditions are likely to be favourable for the arrival of monsoon in Kerala during the next 3 to 4 days.
Heavy rain warning in these states
The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in coastal Karnataka on 22, 25 and 26 May. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected in southern interior Karnataka on 25 and 26 May.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of very strong winds with thunderstorms in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada during 22 to May 24.
At the same time, strong winds can blow in Saurashtra and Kutch on 22 and 24 May.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds is expected in Northeast India for 5 to 6 days. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh from 22 to May 26. Heavy rain is expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from 22 to May 26. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from 24 to May 26.
