Monsoon Alert: The rainy season is ongoing in many states of Northeast India. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain for some states. The southwest monsoon has now reached many states. This time, pre-monsoon record rains occurred in many states, including Mumbai.

The month of June has started from today, i.e. Sunday. Rain has wreaked havoc in the northeastern states of the country. Due to excessive rain, flood-like conditions have arisen in many places. At the same time, rain and storms have been occurring in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bihar, Rajasthan, and South India over the last few days.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in the northeastern states, as well as Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, today, i.e., on June 1. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and strong winds with thunderstorms in North-West India for the next 3-4 days. An alert has been issued regarding heavy rainfall in Kerala, coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Konkan, and Goa for the next one to two days.

Rain warning in Delhi-NCR

According to the Meteorological Department, a warning of strong thunderstorm and rain has been issued in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad on June 1 and 2. The maximum temperature in Delhi today is expected to be recorded at 39 °C. Apart from this, rain is also scheduled on June 3 and 4.

Rain warning in UP

According to the Meteorological Department’s report, there may be rain with thunderstorms at some places in the western part of UP and in some areas of eastern UP on June 1. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of rain in UP till June 5.

Heavy rains in these places

During the last 24 hours, heavy rains have been recorded in some states including Meghalaya, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Apart from this, heavy rains have also been observed at different places in Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, and Odisha. Along with this, heavy rains have been observed at different places in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Rains accompanied by strong winds have been recorded at various locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Marathwada, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Rain warning in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for rain in most parts of Northeast India over the next one to two days. Meanwhile, a warning has been issued for heavy rains at some places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura today. Heavy rains are likely to continue at some places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

An alert has been issued for heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. Additionally, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds at some locations.
