New Delhi: Due to the tension in relations between India and Pakistan, the Indian government has taken a big decision. On May 7, keeping in mind the safety of the citizens, a nationwide mock drill will be conducted. The Indian Army will conduct its exercise in full strength. This is the first exercise of its kind since 1971. In the year 1971, there was a fierce war between Pakistan and India.
Pakistan was divided into two parts. A nationwide security preparedness exercise will be conducted at 259 places in India, including the national capital Delhi and Chennai. This will signal to Pakistan that it will be taught a lesson by entering its home if it makes a mistake.

Major decisions taken in the meeting
Before the nationwide mock drill, Home Secretary Govind Mohan chaired a vital meeting on Tuesday to assess and coordinate civil defence preparations. Chief Secretaries and civil defence heads of various states participated in this meeting. Special attention has been given to the 244 designated civil defence districts notified in 2010.





Along with this, major guidelines have been issued keeping in view the border states like Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu, West Bengal and the Northeast. All the coasts will be taken care of, especially from a security point of view. These districts have been instructed to practice by simulating multi-hazardous scenarios.
