CBSE- Big news for CBSE Board students. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct two board exams in a year from next year i.e. 2026. This has been approved. Till now this was a draft policy. But now it has been confirmed. On Wednesday, June 25, CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj gave information about this while talking to news agency PTI. This rule is currently being implemented only on CBSE Board
Class 10 exam. While giving this big information, CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj also said that it will be mandatory for class 10 students to appear in the first phase of the exam. Whereas the second phase exam will be optional. That is, if you want, you can appear in it or not, it is the student’s wish.
When will the exams be held?
According to the official notification of the Central Board of Secondary Education, the first phase of CBSE Board Exam 2026 Class 10 will be held in the month of February. While the second phase will be taken in May. This decision has been taken to reduce the stress of board exams of the students and give them a second chance to improve their marks. These changes have been made under the New Education Policy (NEP 2020).
When will CBSE 2 board exam results be declared?
Along with telling the time of board exams twice in CBSE 10th, Sanyam Bhardwaj has also given information about their results. He told that the CBSE result for the first phase of the examination will come in April 2026. While the result for the second phase of the examination will be released in June 2026.
According to the information given by the Central Board of Secondary Education, students will be able to increase their marks in three major subjects in class 10 in two board exams. Any three subjects from Science, Maths, Social Science and Language. Internal assessments will be done only once a year. Students of winter bound schools will have the freedom to choose in which of the two phases they want to take the exam.
