In Asadabad, Hamadan, protesters claim to have seized a base belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the military force loyal to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The protests are fueled by the dire state of the Iranian economy. Many protesters were heard chanting slogans against the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
