According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Basti, and Sant Kabir Nagar. Apart from these, they have also issued a warning of monsoon rain in Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Gonda and Shravasti. A rain warning has been issued in Bahraich and Lakhimpur Kheri with thunder and lightning.
Here, a wind speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour has been predicted. At the same time, a severe heat alert has been issued in Lalitpur, Jhansi, Jalaun, Mahoba, and Hamirpur of western Uttar Pradesh. A yellow warning has been issued in Etawah, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Agra, Hathras, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, and Meerut.

According to the Meteorological Department, many cities in Uttar Pradesh are experiencing high temperatures. On Wednesday, Agra was the hottest district of the state. The maximum temperature recorded here was 45.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in 12 districts ranged from 42 to 44 degrees Celsius. These districts include Jhansi, Banda, Lucknow, Kanpur, Hamirpur, Etawah, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Sultanpur and Ballia.
In all these cities, silence prevailed on the roads as the day progressed. In many districts, hot winds continued to make people feel the heat of summer even at night.
