Monsoon Alert: Even before the entry of monsoons in many areas of North India, storms created havoc, which damaged farmers’ crops. Heavy rains late at night in the capital, Delhi, and surrounding areas caused waterlogging, making life difficult for the people. Roads, parks and stations were flooded.
On the other hand, monsoon rush bullet trains hit Kerala. This is the first time in 16 years that monsoons have reached Kerala almost a week earlier. Monsoons can also enter during the first or second week of June. Due to rain in the morning in many areas of UP, the temperature level has dropped significantly, which has relieved the people from the scorching heat. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in many areas of Uttar Pradesh.
Heavy rain alert in these districts of UP
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms in about 40 districts of Uttar Pradesh, due to which an appeal has also been made to take precautions. IMD has issued a warning for heavy rain in Gonda, Balrampur, Unnao, Shravasti and Bahraich. Winds are expected to blow at 30 to 40 kmph here.
Apart from these, thunderstorms and lightning are expected in Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Kannauj, Farrukhabad and Gorakhpur along with gusty winds at 30 to 40 kmph. Along with this, a rain warning has been issued in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Mau and Varanasi as the weather is terrible.
Heavy rains are expected in Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Ballia, Deoria, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar and Maharajganj. Rains with thunderstorms and lightning can become a disaster in Siddharthnagar, Lucknow, Barabanki, Ayodhya and Ambedkar Nagar. The wind can blow at 40 to 50 kilometres per hour in these parts.
