Haryana Accident News: Due to dense fog in Haryana, three major accidents occurred across the state on Sunday morning, causing long traffic jams on the highways. The accidents involved buses, trucks, and cars. Several people are reported to have been injured in these accidents. The most significant accident occurred at the 152D highway intersection in the Meham area of Rohtak, where 35 to 40 vehicles collided.
According to reports, the accident began when a truck and a car collided, after which a long chain of vehicles behind them crashed into each other. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. A video of the accident showed a truck badly mangled, with people rushing to rescue those trapped inside. Police and administrative officials were engaged in rescue operations.
Accidents also occurred in Hisar and Rewari
Before the Rohtak incident, two other road accidents occurred in the state on Sunday morning. Around 8 am, two Haryana Roadways buses collided with other vehicles near Dhiktana Mod on National Highway 52. The pile-up began when a Kaithal Roadways bus collided with a dump truck. Another bus approaching from behind then collided with these two, followed by a car and then a motorcycle. In Rewari, a major collision involving three to four buses also occurred on National Highway 352 due to low visibility. The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Haryana has been experiencing a severe cold wave for the past few days. Temperatures in most districts of the state have been hovering around 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department had already issued a cold wave alert for the state.
