Bihar Bandh: The matter of alleged remarks against PM Narendra Modi’s late mother is now gaining momentum. The entire NDA, including the BJP, is opposing Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav. NDA has called for a statewide bandh in Bihar today, the effect of which has been seen since morning.
There is silence on the roads at many places. Women carrying placards are accusing Congress and the RJD of insulting women. This bandh was kept for 5 hours, which is now about to end. The bandh was called from 7 am to 12 noon. Actually, during the rally of opposition political parties in Darbhanga, some abusive words were used against PM Narendra Modi and his mother. Due to the bandh, people are facing difficulties.
What is open and what is closed?
The effect of the bandh is being seen in all parts of Bihar since 7 am. However, emergency medical facilities and railway services are running as usual since morning. Schools, offices and transport services are completely disrupted due to the NDA protest.
The BJP Mahila Morcha is leading this movement. According to a report, women’s groups have also blocked the roads. It is said that this protest was peaceful, but there has been a road blockade-like situation in major towns and highways.
What did PM Modi say?
PM Narendra Modi has fiercely targeted the leaders of the India Alliance for the indecent comment on his late mother during the Voter Rights Yatra. PM Modi gave an emotional statement, which is being discussed all over the country.
Referring to the derogatory comments, he said, ‘The struggle of a poor mother, the sorrow of her son – these young princes born in royal families cannot understand. These ‘naamdaar’ people are born with a silver spoon. They consider the power of the country and Bihar as their family’s legacy.
