The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has shared this information. According to NCS, the earthquake was felt at 4:41 pm on Sunday, and its epicentre was at a depth of 5 kilometres.

Assam government officials have told news agency PTI that an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit parts of the Northeast on Sunday evening. He said that the quake occurred at 4.41 pm and its epicentre was in Udalguri district. Officials confirmed, “There is no immediate news of any loss of life or property.”
