After the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, what Prime Minister Narendra Modi had thundered, our brave army has proved it true! The Indian Air Force has entered Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) and destroyed nine terrorist hideouts. The biggest thing is that this time India has destroyed terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan while staying within its border. If reliable sources are to be believed, this feat has been achieved by the dangerous pair of Rafale fighter planes and Scalp missiles.

What is this Scalp missile that caused havoc?

Scalp is a missile that is an expert in air-to-ground strikes. It can penetrate deep into enemy territory and destroy its target momentarily. Its strike range is about 300 kilometres, so it can kill the enemy even from this distance. It is reported that our planes equipped with Scalp missiles took off from different airports and wreaked havoc on terrorist hideouts while staying within the Indian border.

Operation ‘Sindoor’: Why was this name chosen?

You must have also heard that this operation has been named ‘Sindoor’. Why India chose this name to take revenge for Pahalgam, this is also an interesting story. (For more information about this you can read…)

Strength of Scalp Missile:

This missile is more than 5 meters long and about 63 centimeters wide. It weighs about 1300 kilograms and it can carry up to 450 kilograms of explosives. This is the reason why wherever it falls, it creates a crater up to 30 meters deep! According to sources, with these accurate missiles, India has also targeted the headquarters of big terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Modi’s promise came true:

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, it was believed that India would give a befitting reply. On 24th April, during a rally in Jhanjharpur, Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also declared that terrorists will get such punishment which they would have never imagined. Pakistan was also talking about its preparations, but the pair of Rafale and Scalp blew their minds and the neighbouring country kept watching.
