Monsoon Alert – The weather is once again experiencing severe weather conditions across India, threatening to spiral out of control. The only relief is that the monsoon has completely departed. Now, following a cyclonic circulation in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, Cyclone Montha could wreak havoc. Its effects could be felt not only in South India but also in the Northeast.
North India may also experience a spell of rain in the next 24 hours. A drop in temperature, accompanied by strong winds, could also usher in the arrival of winter. Snowfall is causing temperatures to plummet in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, where winter has already begun. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in several states due to Cyclone Montha. Find out what the weather will be like there.
