This scheme aims to support small, marginal, and landless agricultural households in Odisha with vital financial assistance. The Odisha Budget for 2024-25 allocated ₹1,935 crores to the CM Kisan Yojana Odisha, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the welfare of farmers, including poultry farmers and fishermen. Benefits of CM Kisan Yojana Odisha

1. Support for Cultivation

Small and marginal farmers receive ₹4,000 annually in two instalments of ₹2,000 for the Rabi and Kharif crop seasons. This assistance can be used for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labour costs, and other farming expenses. It is in addition to the PM Kisan Yojana benefits.

2. Livelihood Aid for Landless Farmers

Landless households can earn ₹12,500 annually through selected activities like goat-rearing, mushroom farming, dairy farming, fisheries, or beekeeping. Payments are made in three instalments to enhance rural incomes.

3. Education Support (Krushi Bidya Nidhi Yojana)

Children of CM Kisan beneficiaries pursuing professional courses like engineering, medical, or ITI can get financial aid to improve access to education and boost their family’s socio-economic status.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Small and marginal farmers residing in rural areas.
  • Landless agricultural households (rural labourers primarily dependent on agriculture).
  • Applicants must be permanent residents or domiciles of Odisha.
  • Funds will be directly transferred to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of beneficiaries.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Minors (below 18 years of age).
  • Medium or large-scale farmers.
  • Multiple applicants from the same family.
  • Farmers or their family members who are income tax payees, government/PSU employees, retired staff, or pensioners.
  • Deceased applicants.
  • Current and former holders of constitutional posts, ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, mayors, or chairpersons of district panchayats.
  • Registered professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects.
  • Urban farmers.
  • Farmers without valid ration cards.

CM Kisan Yojana Odisha Online Application Process

Step 1: Visit the official CM Kisan Yojana website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Farmer Registration’ option.
Step 3: Read the guidelines, tick the declaration, and click ‘Proceed’.
Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number, and captcha code, and click ‘Get OTP’.
Step 5: Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify’.
Step 6: Enter your mobile number and click ‘Get Mobile OTP’.
Step 7: Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify’.
Step 8: Select the farmer type: ‘SMF’ (Small Marginal Farmer), ‘MLF’ (Medium Large Farmer), or ‘LAH’ (Landless Agricultural Households). Choose between ‘Rural’ or ‘Urban’. Then click on ‘Verify’ under the ‘Bank Account Seeding Status’ section. The name of the bank linked to your Aadhaar will be displayed. Click ‘Proceed’.
Step 9: Fill out the required information on the registration form, tick the declaration box, and click ‘Submit’.
Step 10: Your token number will be displayed on the screen and sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 1: Visit the official CM Kisan Yojana website.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Farmer’s Corner’ option and click ‘Check Status’.
Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number or token number and click ‘Show’.
Step 4: The status of your CM Kisan application will be displayed on the screen.
