Badrinath Dham 2025: The doors of Badrinath Dham, the fourth of the four Dhams of Uttarakhand, have been opened for devotees from today, i.e. May 4, 2025. Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is considered one of the holiest places of Hindus. People come from very far to visit Badrinath Dham.
The doors of Badrinath Dham are opened as soon as the summer season begins. During the opening of the doors, the entire temple is decorated with flowers; during this time, flowers were showered on the temple. Airway – The nearest airport can be reached at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, about 315 km from Badrinath.
Rail route- The nearest railway station is Rishikesh, about 295 km. Away.
Road route- You can reach Badrinath Dham by taxi from Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun.
Till when the temple remains open
Badrinath Dham is considered to be the abode of Lord Vishnu. This holy place is located between the Nar and Narayan mountains on the left bank of the Alaknanda River. Let us tell you that the temple doors remain open for devotees only from May to November. When the temple doors are closed in winter, Lord Badrinath is worshipped in the Narsingh temple in Joshimath. The lamp lit in the temple before the doors are closed keeps burning continuously for six months.
In 2025, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham were opened. After this, the doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham opened on 2 May and today the doors of Badrinath Dham have been opened.
