Monsoon Alert: The weather has been terrible lately. Most areas of the country are experiencing rainfall with cloudy weather. Monsoon rains have made life difficult in South India as well as other places. The situation is dire due to the rain, and it is becoming increasingly complex for people to leave their homes.
The situation has worsened due to heavy rains in some areas of West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand, where people are facing considerable trouble. Traffic is also being disrupted due to waterlogging. The monsoon has also entered UP, resulting in rainfall at many places. Monsoon has also spread to most parts of Bihar. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain accompanied by thunder in many states across the country.
Heavy rain warning in these states
According to the IMD, an alert for rain with thunder has been issued for the North Konkan, Gujarat region, and the Gangetic plains of West Bengal over the next 24 hours. Apart from these, a hefty rain warning has been issued at many places in Jharkhand and Meghalaya.
A rain warning has been issued in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Bihar with thunder and lightning. A heavy rain alert has been issued in many places in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, and Tripura.
Rain is also expected in Western Madhya Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh and Eastern Rajasthan. A heavy rain alert has been issued for Saurashtra, the Andaman Islands, Nagaland, and Manipur. Rain is expected in many places in Mizoram, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Rain alert in these parts of Central India for 5 days
According to the Meteorological Department, a heavy rain alert has been issued for Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and thunderstorms with heavy rain and lightning are expected in the affected areas. A warning has also been issued in coastal West Bengal of the Ganga on 22 and 25 June. There may be heavy rain in Bihar from June 20 to 23. There may be rain in Jharkhand and Odisha from June 20 to 22. There may be rain at various places in Madhya Pradesh till June 25.
