New Delhi: In the second match of the Indian Premier League, the Mumbai Indians delighted their fans by registering a spectacular victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders. The highlight of this contest was the explosive batting display by Mumbai Indians’ opener, Rohit Sharma, which proved to be a major turning point in the match.

Playing a blistering innings, he scored 78 runs off just 38 balls. He completed his half-century in a mere 23 deliveries. In this match, Rohit Sharma achieved a significant milestone, setting new records with his magnificent half-century knock. On the other hand, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane also broke a decade-old record previously held by former player Gautam Gambhir.

The Record Set by Rohit Sharma
