Hyundai-new-suvs-2027:- Hyundai is set to launch several new vehicles in the Indian auto market soon. Alongside brand-new models, the company is preparing to update existing vehicles with fresh designs and enhanced features. The lineup will include the Hyundai Bayon, a new compact electric SUV, and the next-generation Creta.

The Hyundai Bayon is scheduled to arrive in October with petrol and CNG options. The compact new EV is expected to launch by the end of this year, while the next-gen Creta is anticipated to debut in the first half of 2027. These new vehicles are expected to feature larger screens, improved safety features, ADAS, and more comfortable cabins. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

Hyundai Bayon

Hyundai has announced the new Bayon for the Indian market, and bookings are already open. Bookings can be made online or through authorised Hyundai dealerships. The Bayon is set to make its global debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show on October 12, 2026. In India, it will be positioned in the mid-size SUV segment, sitting between the Venue and the larger next-gen Creta.

Engine Options

The new Hyundai Bayon is expected to be offered with both petrol and CNG options. Regarding the engine, reports suggest it may come with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing approximately 114 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque. Transmission options are expected to include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.

Additionally, the CNG version is expected to feature an underbody CNG tank, though its existence has not yet been confirmed. Hyundai has, however, confirmed that the Bayon will come with a built-in AI voice assistant—a feature that could significantly enhance the SUV’s technology package.

New Hyundai Electric SUV

Hyundai’s next major move will be in the electric vehicle segment. The company is preparing to launch a new sub-4-metre electric SUV by the end of this year. Its codename is reported to be HE1i. This electric SUV is being developed to challenge vehicles like the Tata Nexon EV, Kia Syros EV, and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. Hyundai’s ‘Pleos Connect’ centre screen is expected to debut in this new electric SUV.

42 kWh and 51.4 kWh Battery

Details regarding the new Hyundai electric SUV’s battery pack have not yet been revealed. However, reports suggest it may use high-density NMC battery technology. The SUV is expected to be offered with two battery options: a standard-range version with a battery of approximately 42 kWh and a long-range version with a 51.4 kWh battery. Additionally, it is expected to support fast charging up to 120 kW.

Next-Gen Hyundai Creta (2027)

Hyundai’s third major product will be the next-generation Creta. The company is preparing to launch it in the first half of 2027, and it is expected to be unveiled at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

The new Creta may feature a more mature and upright SUV design compared to the current model. Its design is expected to resemble Hyundai’s concept models. The new SUV will be built on the K3 platform, which is also used for the new Kia Seltos.

Next-Gen Creta Cabin

The new Creta’s interior may also see significant changes. The cabin could feature a large tablet-style floating touchscreen equipped with Hyundai’s Android-based ‘Pleos Connect’ infotainment system. Furthermore, features such as a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, Bose mode functionality, and dual-zone climate control are expected.

Engine

Regarding the engine, the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel, and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines are expected to be retained. A new hybrid powertrain is also expected to be introduced.
