Honor 700 Series Unveiled:- Honor has unveiled the latest mid-range to premium tier of smartphones. The 700S is notable due to the presence of a small rear internal screen. The Honor 700, 700 Pro and 700S models have been unveiled in China and are now available to order from the official Honor store. However, Honor have not stated when these will be launching, nor have they listed out the full specifications for the models. Let’s look at what we know.
What Honor has confirmed

There are three models available; Honor 700, 700 Pro and 700S. All of them have an internal rear display. The display itself is a square display with the camera island and twin lens sensor. These can be seen in the official posters and can be used for time/weather widgets, music controls, fun animations and can preview selfies with the main cameras. Unlike previous models in the Honor 600 series, this isn’t a clip on device. The colours will be Blue Tone, Cold White, Clear Sky and Pink Mist. The 700 Pro model will be available in variants of 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB. The 700S will be available in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB.
What is still rumoured
Most information regarding the hardware comes from tipster leaks. Most notably Digital Chat Station. We know that there is a 6.57″ flat 1.5K OLED display with slim uniform bezels on the 700 and 700 Pro models. There is also a small rear screen of approximately 1.72″. The 700 model uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip but the 700 Pro uses the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. The Pro model is also tipped to use a 200MP main and 50MP telephoto periscope lens. The battery is also supposed to be large at around 9,000 mAh with 50W wireless charging. The 700 and 700 Pro models may use a clip on 200mm telephoto lens. However, little information on the 700S model has been confirmed including the chip and camera.
What is still rumoured
As mentioned above, Honor have not given a release date. Previous reports have stated that the Honor phones will be launching in China in November 2026 but some have said it could be delayed to December. There is no confirmation of a release in India or worldwide so any prices you see online are just guesses. Honour aren’t always released globally and the 600 series only made it to some global markets. So it isn’t worth getting too excited yet.
Launch and availability

The internal rear screen adds an interesting feature to the phone. You can quickly view notifications, the time and take selfies using the main camera. While Xiaomi have added a similar feature to their latest flagship models, this puts Honour into a small but increasing list of companies who want to utilise the rear of the phone as a secondary screen.
Should you wait?
If you like the idea of having a rear screen then the Honor 700 series is definitely something to keep an eye on. If the tip about the telephoto lens and battery prove to be true then the 700 Pro would be an interesting buy. However, until Honor release the official specifications and price, keep your budget open. Keep an eye on the release event to see if it will be coming to India.
