Xiaomi 16 features leaked; it is expected with a large battery and a 6.3-inch display

Xiaomi: The expected release of the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro is nearly six months away, yet details regarding these phones has already started to surface online. Some of the main features of the Xiaomi 16 series entry-level device have been leaked. As per reports, the regular Xiaomi 16 would come with the largest battery ever seen on a phone with a 6.32-inch screen. It might also have three cameras on the back. In March, the Xiaomi 15 model of the current generation made debut in India.

The main features of the alleged Xiaomi 16 were disclosed by Weibo user Smart Pikachu (which is translated from Chinese). With a 6.32-inch flat screen and thin bezels on all sides, it is reportedly small in size. The HyperOS 3 interface, which is expected to be based on Android 16, is predicted to power it.

Based on reports, the Xiaomi 16 has a light and thin design. Like the current Xiaomi 15 model, it might have a 50-megapixel triple camera configuration. As per reports, the forthcoming phone would have the biggest battery ever seen in a phone with a 6.3-inch screen. The tipster hasn’t, however, made any indications regarding the phone’s precise battery capacity. The OnePlus 13T, which launched in China earlier this month with a 6,260mAh battery, is said to be smaller than this one.

As per recent rumors, the Xiaomi 16’s battery would have a capacity of about 7,000mAh. It is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which Qualcomm has not yet made public. the rumors, Xiaomi’s 16 series will employ the newest silicon-carbon (Si/C) technology.

With a 5,400mAh battery that supports 50W wireless charging and 90W wired fast charging, the Xiaomi 15 was introduced in China in October 2024. The phone’s Indian version has a 5,240mAh battery and supports both 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The price tag for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage combo was Rs. 64,999.

The Xiaomi 16’s other features are probably better than those of the current Xiaomi 15 model. The latter features a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 6.36-inch Full-HD+ (1,200 x 2,670 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display. It included 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage and up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

It sports a triple rear camera unit including a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 900 sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter. It has a front camera with 32 megapixels. The phone is resistant to dust and water thanks to its IP68 a category.
