FASTag Annual Pass Price Hiked to Rs 3,075: NHAI Announces New Rates

FASTag Annual Pass: If you often drive on national highways in your car or private vehicle, this information is crucial for you. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a price increase for FASTag annual passes. Starting April 1, the beginning of the new fiscal year 2026-27, this pass will cost more.

NHAI has stated that the fee for its FASTag annual pass will rise by Rs 75, bringing the total to Rs 3,075 for the financial year 2026-27. These new prices will take effect from April 1, 2020. The annual pass service was launched on August 15, 2025, to offer financial relief to those using national highways. In a statement, NHAI confirmed that the fee for the FASTag annual pass will increase from the current Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075 for the financial year 2026-27.

More than 56 lakh people are using it

As per a report, the authority mentioned that the adoption of the FASTag Annual Pass is consistently growing among private vehicle owners. At present, over 5.6 million users are benefiting from this service. This pass is intended for non-commercial vehicles like private cars, jeeps, and vans.

The FASTag Annual Pass was created to enhance the travel experience for those using national highways. Vehicles with an active annual pass can pass through toll plazas on national highways up to 200 times. The pass remains valid for one year or until the limit is reached. This feature is exclusive to private cars, jeeps, and vans. The initiative aims to minimize the need for repeated toll payments and to encourage the widespread adoption of digital toll collection via FASTag across the entire national highway network.

Where and how to get this pass?

According to NHAI, this feature is available at approximately 1,150 toll plazas and national expressways across the country. Purchasing it is also quite easy. You can avail it through the Rajmarg Yatra mobile app or by visiting the NHAI’s official website. This will eliminate the need for frequent recharges, and a one-time payment will free you from worries for an entire year.

Who will benefit the most?

The biggest benefit of this scheme is for those who frequently travel between cities for work or personal reasons. Statistics show that the per-trip cost of this pass is significantly lower than the normal toll rate. According to data from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), more than 5 million people currently use this annual pass. This pass accounts for approximately 28 percent of total car traffic on national highways.
