Samsung tri-fold: This month, Samsung revealed its seventh generation of foldable phones. The company’s first tri-fold phone is currently the subject of online discussions. This phone, which might be known as the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold, could be released in October. The chipset of this triple-screen foldable phone has purportedly been alluded to in a recent APK deconstruction of One UI 8 internal beta code prior to the formal release.
Important information about the next Samsung tri-fold phone was confirmed by Android Authority when they noticed the code string “siop_q7mq_sm8750” in One UI 8. The codename for the Galaxy Z Trifold is thought to be “q7mq,” and the Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU is denoted by “sm8750.” This suggests that the flagship Qualcomm processor will be used in Samsung’s tri-fold tablet.

Samsung’s high-end products, such the Galaxy S25 series and the newly released Galaxy Z Fold 7, also use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
Possible Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold features
As to a previous rumor, Samsung’s tri-fold device, which is expected to be called the Galaxy G Fold, may have a 9.96-inch screen when folded, providing a tablet-like viewing experience. When folded, the display can measure 6.54 inches. A triple back camera setup is expected, and the camera technology might resemble that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
It is anticipated that the next Galaxy Z Trifold will feature hinges that fold inward and have a G-like shape. It might have a silicon-carbon battery and come pre-installed with Android 16 and Samsung’s One UI 8. Based on the information obtained, the tri-fold phone will only be available in China and South Korea because only 3,000 units (or fewer) can be produced.
The tri-fold smartphone will be available by the end of this year, according to a recent confirmation from Samsung Mobile Chief TM Roh. With a hefty price tag, it is said to become official in October.
