Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7: Samsung is preparing for another major foldable launch event later this year. Rumors have it that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 may arrive in early July, cementing the company’s leadership in the foldable smartphone segment even further. The company has also planned to bring back its Galaxy Unpacked event in the US, which is expected to be held in New York.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

The Galaxy Z Fold 7, however, would need to include a 200MP primary rear camera, a significant upgrade from the 50MP sensor on the previous phone. The other cameras could remain unchanged from the Fold 6, including a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. The phone may also come with a 10MP selfie camera and an under-display camera on the inside screen. These updates reflect emphasis on better imaging capacities while maintaining the advantages of the previous edition.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7

While some of the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s specifications are still to be revealed, the expectation is of incremental improvements. The Z Flip 6 had 12GB RAM, a better main camera, and AI-based features. It is expected that the Flip 7 will have the same design but maybe with battery and software enhancements. Samsung can also enhance its cover screen, but major upgrades are still to be announced.

Galaxy Unpacked Event Returns to New York

After the last Galaxy Unpacked events in Seoul and Paris, Samsung is bringing the launch back to the US. The event may take place in early July, with Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 as the main attractions. The company may also unveil other devices like a new Galaxy Watch and possibly its first Android XR headset. There are also rumors of a tri-fold smartphone launching.

Speculated Triple-Fold Design

One of the more exciting rumors this year is Samsung possibly showing off a tri-fold phone. While not yet announced, this could be an early model or prototype of a future device. It would be a new generation of foldable form, next-level above book-style and clamshell-type devices.

Why Foldables Are Still Relevant in 2025

Samsung is leading the world’s foldable business. As consumer demand is growing and competition is increasing, the company is focusing on improving ruggedness, camera performance, and AI support. Foldable phones are still a premium offering, but regular hardware updates and long-term software support of 7 years are making them more appealing in the long run.
