Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: When I first held the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in my hands, it really felt like a completely new experience. This phone is only 5.8mm thick, which is about 20% thinner than its S25 model. Along with this, its weight is also very less, only 163 grams, which makes it super-light and very comfortable to hold. Seeing the thin and slim body of the phone, I feel that there is no need to wear a case, otherwise the whole style of the phone will be lost.
Battery compromise but power all day
Along with the thin design, there have been some compromises, especially in terms of battery. The Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3,900mAh battery, which is less than the 4,000mAh of the S25 and 4,900mAh of the S25 Plus. This battery lasted almost a whole day comfortably in my daily needs like messaging, social media, photo clicking, and using Google Maps, but after 24 hours the phone’s battery gets low without a charger. So keeping a charger at night will be a must. However, given my screen time habits, this seems like an acceptable compromise for me.
Camera capabilities and photo quality
The phone’s camera has also been cut down a bit, but there is no reduction in quality. The S25 Edge has a 200-megapixel wide camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, which is the same as the S25 Ultra. Apart from this, the 12-megapixel front camera is also very good, which maintains the detail while making the face smooth in the photo. Both photos in daylight and night mode are great. Especially in portrait mode, the blurring of the background and the clarity of the front create a perfect balance.
Great design and grip experience
The design of the phone looks very sleek and premium. The camera module is not too prominent, which maintains the beauty of the phone. It is easy to keep it in the pocket and put it in the bag, without worrying that the phone might break. Due to being thin and light, it seems that all other phones now seem heavy and old.
Verdict
I am quite impressed with the features of this thin and light Galaxy S25 Edge. Although the battery is a bit weak and the camera does not have many zoom options, this phone is still great for those who want style, portability and good camera quality. While using this phone, it seems that Samsung has really understood the choice of the users. Just have to keep in mind that this thin phone does not slip from the hand, otherwise you may have to regret it.
