Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Samsung has finally released one of its highly-anticipated smartphones of 2025, the Galaxy S25 Edge. Following months of teasing and its initial reveal at MWC 2025, this new S-series addition is official now. With a subulously thin design and high-end features, this phone is all set to be a standout in the over-crowded flagship segment. Here’s everything that has been revealed so far from the first impressions.
Design and Build
Galaxy S25 Edge is officially the thinnest S-series phone ever with its measurement being just 5.8mm thin and 163 grams of weight. With its lightweight yet slender shape, it suits perfectly well with individuals who use skinny handsets and they will slide neatly into a hand or pocket. Not just do they provide durability but with polished titanium framing, these enhance the overall high-end value of the handset as well. It has two colour variants — Titanium Silver and Titanium Jetblack — both of which impart a glossier look. The look has reminiscent feelings for the earlier Galaxy Edge series, which was popular for its chic looks. The device is also IP68 compliant, providing dust and water resistance.
Display and Visuals
At the front, the Galaxy S25 Edge boasts a huge 6.7-inch QHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with 1440×3120 pixel resolution. It has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection. The near bezel-less screen has a tiny notch at the top centre. Early impressions indicate the screen is vibrant, with punchy colours and rich blacks — a hallmark strength of Samsung’s flagship screens.
Performance and Software
The phone is fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, which is based on a 3nm process. It’s the same chip used in the entire Galaxy S25 lineup. The model has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage options. The phone operates on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 on top. The firm guarantees seven years of OS updates and security updates. It also comes with Galaxy AI powered by Gemini, which supports intelligent features such as Now Brief, Now Bar, and other multimodal AI capabilities.
Camera Setup
In terms of optics, the Galaxy S25 Edge sports a dual-camera setup. It includes a 200-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, OIS, and 2x optical zoom. The secondary sensor is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and OIS. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. While full image quality details are under embargo, the camera hardware promises a lot on paper.
Battery and Charging
The device accommodates a 3,900mAh battery and has support for 25W fast charging. It also boasts Qi wireless charging and the Wireless PowerShare feature. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector. The SIM slot and the speaker grille can be found on the bottom while volume and power buttons are present on the right side.
Pre-Booking Offer
The Galaxy S25 Edge begins at Rs.1,09,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. What’s more interesting is that while pre-booking, the customer can avail of the 512GB model at the cost of the 256GB model. This is a value addition for early customers looking for more storage without paying extra.
