Realme GT 8 Pro: Realme launched an array of mid-range and high-end smartphones in the first half of 2025 under the GT 7, 14, and P series. At the same time, it looks like the company is discreetly developing the Realme GT 8 Pro, their next major flagship product. This smartphone, which has a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, will replace the Realme GT 7 Pro. Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed a lot of crucial information about this future smartphone, including details for its processor, display, and camera. Let us learn more about it.
Features and Specifications of the Realme GT 8 Pro Display (Expected)
Digital Chat Station on Weibo claims that the Realme GT 8 Pro might come with a specially designed 6.85-inch Samsung display. This display has 2K resolution and will support LTPO.
While the Realme GT 7 Pro was spotted having a quad micro-curve display and 1.5K resolution, the Realme GT 8 Pro might have a flat screen with incredibly low bezels. Also, this information supports Smart Pikachu’s March 2025 leak.
The Realme GT 8 Pro’s display will use polarizer-less depolarization technology, which was previously present in the original GT 7 Pro, which is the most important aspect of the leak. In addition, anti-reflection (AR) film will be included.
While the polarizer improves the display’s contrast, it also uses more energy. This component will be removed in the GT 8 Pro in favor of improved contrast via new technology.
Even in bright indoor light or sunlight, the AR film will make the screen easier to see. How well this display can compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in this particular scenario is still up in the air.
Also, as reported by Digital Chat Station, the Realme GT 8 Pro’s display is the priciest of all the Chinese sub-brands, confirming its premium status.
Specifications of the Realme GT 8 Pro Camera (Leaked)
This phone, which the tipster has dubbed the “SM8850 New Phone,” seems to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 model number. This implies that Qualcomm’s most potent mobile chipset, which could be launched by the end of this year, can be installed in the Realme GT 8 Pro.
There are rumors that this next Realme flagship will sport a 50MP primary camera as well to an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The “compact bottom ultra-wide angle” that DCS described allows for a sensor with a smaller size and resolution than previously possible. An 8MP ultra-wide sensor was also included in the Realme GT 7 Pro.
The phone allegedly has a 200MP HP5 periscope camera this time, which is the most significant update in the camera department. Given that the GT 7 Pro featured a 50MP 1/1.95″ IMX882 periscope sensor, this will be an important upgrade. For the record, the HP5 is thought to be Samsung’s next camera sensor, with a possible sensor size of 1/1.56. The OPPO Find X9 Pro is expected to employ this sensor as well.
Realme GT 8 Pro, what else do we know?
Digital Chat Station revealed on Weibo in May 2025 that the Realme GT 8 Pro would feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a metal frame.
It is important to note that the Realme GT 7 Pro also included an aluminum frame and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, showing that Realme is improving the new device by building on its previous flagship.
